Minutes, Board Meeting 7 March
Meeting called to order at 1830 in the conference room at Gold Beach Books.
In attendance: Kuljis, Allen, Van Leer, Manners, Stansell, Figurate, Coffee
- Minutes approved
- Mitch is recruiting applicants for the GSE Team.
- Mitch reports that we are now in good standing and can apply for WSC Grants.
- There was discussion regarding sharing responsibilities for the Port Orford 1 month Canadian Exchange Student.
- Mitch reports that the District Governor visit went well.
- A motion to allow $130 for OSMI 4th and 5th grade camp passed.
- Mary Stansell is finalizing contestants for the 4 Way Test speech contest.
- Regarding RYLA, we are waiting for the High School to make the student selection.
- The $2,000 scholarships budgeted will be administered at the pleasure of the scholarship committee.
- High on Health. Rotary Board agreed to recommend a professional auctioneer.
- Riverside Trail. Walt Schroeder reports that we have received grants for $38,000. Should be enough to purchase materials. We need to get moving on this project or we could loose the funding.
- Members of the Gold Beach Rotary Club are mentoring 3 students at this time.
- Bob Manners reports that $4,042 has been contributed so far this year to the Paul Harris Fellowship Foundation.
- Board agrees to contribute points to Ray Rediske and Tom Westfall which will put them over the $1,000 mark.
- Joel Summer and Ken Dukek were approved by the Board for membership in the club.
- Dues invoices will go out 1 June.
- Coos Curry BBQ has issues. Mitch will determine financial agreement with the Fair.
