Carpenterville Loop Scenic Drive

A scenic drive from Gold Beach.
Trip Length: 2-4 hours, about 75 mile round trip.
Trip Highlights:  Drive Historic Carpenterville Road.
Look down from high up.
Stop at Meyers Beach.

February 2007, Edson Creek Loop

Enjoy the real coast of Oregon while taking this very short drive from Gold Beach.  You will see, cross, and follow for a while the Rogue River.  You will drive the Old Coast Road right above the ocean.  There is immediate beach access from this Old Coast Road.

You will pass Jerry's Rogue Jets and the Mail Boats...our two major attractions for tourist.  These companies will take you as far as 52 miles inland on beautiful aluminum jet powered boats.

Traveling the Edson Creek loop will be relaxing and informative.  You'll begin to understand why some of us live here.  There is a possibility that you will see Roosevelt Elk.  And you will drive through the world famous Gold Beach 'Chicken Alley'.

January 2007, Pistol River Loop

Pistol River Loop
A scenic drive from Gold Beach.
Trip Length: 1-3 hours, about 35 miles round trip.
Trip Highlights:  Explore the rural Pistol River area and Meyers Beach.  Visit Cape Sebastian.

This is a nice leisurely drive to the south from Gold Beach that the entire family will enjoy.

Pistol River is located about 15 miles south of Gold Beach approximately half way between Gold Beach and Brookings.  There are several ways to travel the Pistol River Loop...here is my favorite way...
