Here is a link to an interesting article written by John Flinn, Chronicle Staff Writer. John talks about his experience hiking the Rogue River Trail from Galice, Oregon.
I've hiked this trail as far upriver as Marial, and have rafted/kayaked the Rogue from Galice all the way to the Pacific Ocean. The Rogue is a special river. There are several great ways to experience the Rogue River in Oregon which include rafting, drifting, kayaking, hiking, flying.
My experience on the Rogue includes all months of the year. If you watch the weather forecasts carefully, prepare carefully, and use common sense you should have a wonderful trip on the Rogue no matter how you travel. I love the upriver lodges just as John Flinn does. Read his article. It's interesting.
