March weather in Gold Beach, Oregon. Approximately.
Spring is almost here. The lambs are being born. The foxglove has put it's broad leaves out. But winter is not yet gone. In February we experienced bright sunshine. driving rain, bullet like hail, and roaring oceans and rivers.
March will be more mild. It will rain less although it is possible for a ferocious Pacific storm to come blowing through. It won't be warm in March, but it won't be excessively cold. For those of you who don't live here this means that we may see nights get into the 30's, but it will mostly be warmer than that here at night. And in the daytime Gold Beach will offer bright sunny days perhaps 30% to 50% of the time. Some fog perhaps. Rain for sure.
Like most places in the world March is unpredictable. The world is tipping and the weathers are changing. Summer will be here soon. There will be no rain in the summer. So we who live in Gold Beach enjoy the life giving rain while it is here. It's the rain that makes this rain forest country. It's the rain that causes our river fisheries to be so great. It's the rain that we receive this winter that keeps the rivers up high enough in the summer for all to enjoy. All too soon the rains will stop and it will be warm and dry on the Oregon Coast.
